A Safe Space

How do we, as women, cultivate interests and hobbies just for the sake of it? How do we slow down enough to simply enjoy the process of creating, exploring and dreaming? It may not be practical, you may not be able to chart the output of your hobbies, but isn’t that the being part of human beings?

Exploring, creating, thinking, sitting in silence in your thoughts. There is much in each of us, yet many haven’t been given the tools or the license to explore it. There is immense wealth deep in us, and in this modern world we quiet it with noise and distraction, dulling our inner worlds only being pleased by external entertainment.

Do we know how to play anymore? Pushing play out of our lives is dulling who we really are and the gift that we are.

I want to create a space where women have the freedom, license and space to play. To leave the kids, chores, obligations, phones and distractions at the door and discover what’s left of themselves through creativity and art.

It will be a safe space where you can paint a painting you think is ugly and still find value in it. Real conversations, real food, sitting together in community with other women ready to go deeper in life, no longer satisfied with calling deep cleaning your house and going to target, scrolling or netflix a hobby because we’re worth more than that.

We’ve been operating like machines.

Playing and discovery without judgement without a preconceived end result is so important to our wellbeing and mental health.
